George W. Bush’s Final State of the Union Address

Well, this is the final SotU address that George W. Bush will give.  I didn’t really find anything that was just “oh, that is so awesome!”  I was personally hoping that he would set into motion an “energy moonshot” to decrease our reliance on foreign oil, but I did like the idea of pursuing nuclear power and budgeting more money into scientific research.  I was also glad to see him stand up and say that the surge has worked in Iraq…much to the chagrin of the leftist moonbats.  Oh well, they’re still pissed at the electoral system…even 8 years later!

Republican Amnesia?

McCain is an amazing man. He seemed like a shoo-in for the Republican nomination right after the ‘06 elections. Then his campaign staff started to abandon him like rats jumping off the sinking Titanic during the summer of ‘07. Now he’s starting to become the media superstar once again (A Republican who the media actually likes should make Republicans wonder about him in the first place). What really concerns me is that either our party has hit our proverbial head with something, or McCain has a mind control device that can cause amnesia. Either way, it doesn’t look too pretty. Have we forgotten bills like McCain-Feingold (Campaign Finance Reform), McCain-Kennedy (Immigration reform that resembles amnesty), and Lieberman-McCain (A global warming bill that would’ve capped US CO2 emissions at 2000 in the year 2010).

Of course, I would choose McCain over Obama, the Hildabeast, or the Breck Girl any time.
